The program for integrated territorial development in the Ust-Labinsk region in Krasnodar Krai and the support of socially-oriented projects in Krasnodar Krai – is one of the largest and most important projects of the Volnoe Delo Foundation.

The program is based on a systematic approach that combines the highest regard for the historic and cultural heritage of the region with the development and adaptation of innovative social technologies, as well as the implementation of models and practices that have shown good results in other countries.

The program aims to elevate the standard of living and create the necessary environment for long-term economic and social development of the region.

The program addresses several principal directions:

  • support and development of education;
  • preservation of the historical and cultural heritage;
  • support and development of healthcare;
  • creation of an environment that encourages healthy lifestyles;
  • increase in civic engagement;
  • support for socially vulnerable categories of citizens.

The Foundation has seen tangible results in every single one of these directions:

Support and development of education:

  • renovation and restoration of 21 schools and 5 kindergartens;
  • construction of a kindergarten – the first new kindergarten in Krasnodar Krai in 20 years;
  • equipment of elementary school classes of every school in the Ust-Labinsk region with mobile computers.

Preservation of the historical and cultural heritage:

  • reconstruction of the Alexandrovskaya fort (built by Alexander Suvorov in the 18th century).

Support and development of healthcare:

  • renovation and equipment of 7 feldsher-midwife stations and 4 outpatient clinics;
  • creation of a modern clinical and diagnostics laboratory at the Central Regional Hospital;
  • equipment of the Central Regional Hospital with modern medical facilities, specifically an artificial respiration unit, an echography machine and a resuscitation system;
  • purchase of 8 ambulance cars, a mobile intensive care unit, a mobile photofluorography and gynecology station;
  • equipment of the Regional Clinical Hospital with a 64-slice computer body scanner.

Creation of an environment that encourages healthy lifestyles:

  • reconstruction of the Kuban Central Stadium;
  • capital repairs of the Fakel Sports Complex in the Voronezskaya village
  • construction of 14 all-purpose stadiums with artificial turf.

Spiritual revival:

  • construction of 4 churches and 2 chapels;
  • continued construction of 3 churches.

Support for socially vulnerable categories of citizens:

  • a pension program and a support program for World War II veterans;
  • construction of a boarding school;
  • capital reconstruction of water supply facilities in 3 settlements;
  • targeted support for people in strained circumstances.
